UC hospitals among best in America – July 11, 2008, News Release
The University of California's five medical centers have been named among the best hospitals in America in the U.S. News & World Report's annual rankings, which honored UCLA and UCSF medical centers as the best in the Western United States. UCLA and UCSF ranked third and seventh respectively within the report's 2008 Honor Roll, with high scores in six out of sixteen specialty areas, while UC San Diego, UC Irvine, and UC Davis also ranked among the top 50 in a variety of specialty areas.
