UC Wage Proposals

As of June 27, 2008 UC proposed the following provisions:

Year 1

·         Increases between 4-15%

·         Lump sum payment equivalent to at least 4% back to 12/1/07

·         Transition to step structure that is based on experience

·Guaranteed minimum rate of pay of $15.00/hour for all current PCT employees by the end of the contract

 

Specific wage proposals for select locations can be found below. 

UC Irvine Medical Center

  • Proposed 2008 Increases to Ranges and to Individuals AND September 2008 Step Structure - Click here.

UC San Diego Medical Center

  • 2008 – 4% increase for all EX employees

  • September 1, 2008 – Move employees to experience based steps (employees will be placed on steps based on their UC experience in their current job series).  Please see below for range structures:

Note: These proposals are provided only to share information about the University's most recent wage offer to AFSCME. Actual wage increases depend on the collective bargaining process, which has not yet concluded, and may differ from the proposals listed here.

UC has proposed a variation of the above for PCT employees at Student Health Centers.

In no event will the University's proposal result in salary decreases for employees.
