AFSCME REJECTS UC'S THIRD PACKAGE PROPOSAL; UC REQUESTS CLARIFICATION ON AFSCME'S PROPOSALS

At bargaining on Friday, December 7, AFSCME rejected UC's third package proposal, which included a modest wage increase, as compared to UC's previous package proposal.  The University provided AFSCME with additional information related to the union's information requests, and continued to ask clarifying questions of the union regarding several of AFSCME's proposals.

At bargaining on Monday, December 10, UC spent the day preparing its fourth package proposal which they intend to present to AFSCME at the next bargaining session, scheduled for Wednesday, December 12 through Friday, December 14.

The University is further considering the union's request to move to impasse.
